Pangani Hydrology and System Analysis Volume 2
This report document the configuration of the WEAP Model and the way it was used to simulate scenarios and generate modified flow sequences at key points in the Pangani basin.
The purpose of the System Analysis component of the Flow Assessment (FA) Initiative of the IUCN/PBWO was to simulate the flow sequences that would result from future development scenarios in order to support water planning and management decision in the Basin, particularly the water allocation process.
The Hydrology Study forms the basis of the river systems analysis. Current Day flow sequences generated from the Hydrological Study and the current levels of water use in the Basin basically form the Present Day or Reference scenario against which development scenarios are compared to
evaluate their effects on the river system.
